The assessment aim to examine the development in children, including cognition, emotion and sociability, child's presenting behavioral and emotional management and parenting style. Parents can play a significant role in nurturing the children, for example early tendencies and symptoms of SEN.

Child in different developmental stages (for exmaple infancy, toddler, preschooler, and school-age years) faces specific challenges and these challenges influence child's ability and performance in cognition, emotion, sociability, communication and behavior. The influence is related to genetic and environmental factors. The signal of child developing in maladaptive way commonly shows a deviation from normal behaviors and emotions (for example Tantrums, low self-esteem, social difficulties, and rebellion).

The assessment focus on child's cognitions (attention and cognition), emotions (implicit and explicit) and socialability (social interaction, conduct and prosocial behavior). This can help parents to have a better understanding of their children’s development. This allows them to provide appropriate support to nourish the growth of their children.

Assessment Procedure (1.5 hours) :

Parents and children* complete the questionnaire (15 minutes)
Psychologist conduct play assessment with the children (20 minutes)
Parents interview (30 minutes)
Children interview** (15 minutes)
Debriefing with parents after evaluation: preliminary explanation of observation and evaluation results, and suggestion (10 minutes)
Written report will be ready in 7 working days. Client could get the hardcopy of the report in Unleashing Mind centre.

* If the children is below 11 years old, parents will help to complete the questionnaire.
** Psychologist will confirm whether children interview is needed.

After receiving confirmation email from health.ESDlife, Unleashing Mind centre will call customer to schedule the appointment within 2 working days. Customer can also call / whatsapp Unleashing Mind Centre at office hour (Mon-Fri 12pm-8pm; Sat 10am to 7pm) for any enquiry. (Tel: 9321 2002)
Customers must present their identity cards and print the order confirmation letters upon registration.
The assessment service is only valid for one year from the date of purchase. After which, the confirmation letter will not be accepted.
No refund is allowed once the Order has been confirmed.
The offer cannot be redeemed for cash or used in conjunction with other promotions, discount coupons and cash vouchers.
Under normal circumstances, the medical examination report would be ready in 7-10 working days.
All child development assessment service is not intended to substitute medical diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
The child development assessment service does not include individual or group follow-up treatment services.
No priority services for child that wishes to continue for treatment services.
Each child can only enjoy the promotion price of assessment service once.
