MM Meningitis B Vaccine (1 injection)

Meningococcal infection is caused by the meningococcal disease of which early symptoms are not obvious. When bacteria invade the bloodstream (Meningococcaemia) or surround the brain and spinal cord lining (meningococcal meningitis), it can cause serious illness and even cause death.

The vaccine is only applicable in Jordan branch and injection procedure is handled by registered nurse.

• 2 months: 3 doses at least 1 months apart; 1 booster at 2nd year of life
• 3 months to 5 months: 2 doses at least 2 months apart; 1 booster at 1 booster at 2nd year of life
• 6 months to 11 months: 2 doses at least 2 months apart; 1 booster at 1 booster at 2nd year of life
• 12 months to 23 months: 2 doses at least 2 months apart; 1 booster at 1 booster at least 12 months to 23 months between primary series and booster
• 2-year-old and above: 2 doses at least 1 months apart

Who should NOT be vaccinated:

• People who have a history of severe allergic reaction to any vaccine component or a previous dose of any influenza vaccine
• People who are allergic to eggs
• Those with bleeding disorders or on anticoagulants
• People with a fever

* This transaction is subjected to the assessment by nurse for the suitability of vaccine injection. If a patient is considered not suitable for the vaccine injection upon the consultation, the full amount will be refunded.
