Product Features
- Sensor Section: Measures salt concentration by testing the liquid/juice portion of food.
- 7 Red LEDs for salt level indication:
- 0.3%–0.6% (moderate/appropriate)
- 0.8%–1.0% (slightly high)
- 1.3%–2.0% (excessively high)
- 1 Green LED as power indicator.
- Power Switch: Press and hold the button to turn on and start testing. Release to stop.
Usage Instructions
- Clean the probe of the salt tester thoroughly with a neutral detergent.
- Place the food item in a container with sufficient depth/height for testing.
- Press the ON button; the green Power LED should light up. If it does not, the battery voltage is too low—replace with new batteries.
- Immerse the probe at least 2 cm into the solution, keeping it at least 1 cm away from the container walls. Wait for the reading to stabilize, then note the highest illuminated red LED as the measured value.
- After testing, clean the probe portion again with a neutral detergent.
Cleaning
- Rinse the sensor/probe with clean water or wipe it with a cloth dampened with neutral detergent.
- Do not rinse or wipe the main body of the device with water or detergent.
- Do not use alcohol, thinner, gasoline, or any harsh solvents to clean the sensor or main body.
Storage
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong shocks, as this may cause malfunction.
- Keep away from high temperatures, direct sunlight, humidity, or damp areas.
- If the device will not be used for a long time, remove the batteries.
