Key Facts About HPV
- High Prevalence: It is very common; sexually active individuals have a 75% lifetime risk of infection.
- Asymptomatic Nature: Infections are usually symptomless and can have an incubation period of up to 10 years.
- Transmission & Treatment: The virus is transmissible between people, and there is currently no specific medication to treat the infection.
- Immune Clearance: Most infections are cleared by the immune system, but persistent cases can lead to serious diseases.
Types of HPV:
- Low-Risk: Primarily causes genital warts.
- High-Risk: Can lead to precancerous lesions and cancers, including cervical, vaginal, vulvar, and anal cancers.
- Head and Neck Cancer: Emerging research identifies HPV as a contributing factor to head and neck cancers.
Testing Methods

Men: Testing is performed using a urine sample.

Women: Testing is performed using a vaginal swab sample.
Note for pregnant women or those menstruating: Testing is not recommended during pregnancy or menstruation (also avoid the 3 days before and 7 days after menstruation) to ensure the accuracy of the results.

- No changes are allowed on the optional items once the appointment is made.
- Additional / optional items are only applicable after selecting the check up plan and for the same person
- In case of any dispute, the decision of health.ESDlife and Medtimes Medical Group should be final.
The vaccination injection:
- Normal vaccination with 6 months validity. Registration must be completed within 6 months. Reservations are taken one month in advance. Invalid exceeds the period.
- This transaction is subject to the assessment by doctor for the suitability of vaccine injection. If a patient is considered not suitable for the vaccine injection upon doctor’s consultation, the full amount will be refunded.
- The vaccination injection process is handled by doctor, registered nurse or medical professional.
