What are Allergies?

Common allergy symptoms

Causes of allergic reactions
Allergic reactions are mostly caused by exposure to allergens, and allergens can be divided into three categories: environment, food and drugs, but a small part is caused by certain diseases in the body. Symptoms are very similar to common allergic reactions, especially Itching and redness are the most common. These diseases include skin diseases, gynecological diseases, abnormal thyroid function, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular and endocrine diseases, liver and gallbladder diseases, diabetes and malignant tumors.

Therefore, perform the test when an allergic reaction occurs. It is very important to check whether the IgE level in the blood is higher than the normal level. Early identification of the cause of the allergic reaction can help reduce the risk of anaphylactic shock and increase the chance of curing other diseases.

Results
Positive: Two coloured bands appear in the reading window by the T (test) and C (control) signs. ¬The T band may be less intense (lighter) than the C line. This result means the levels of IgE in the blood are higher than normal and you should consult a physician.

Negative: A coloured band appears only under the C (control) sign. This result means that the levels of IgE in the blood are normal or lower than the value used to calibrate the test (100 IU/ml).

Non invalid result: No bands appear or there is a line only under the T (test) sign and not under the C (control) sign. In this case it is not possible to interpret the result of the test, which must be considered not valid. Repeat the test with a new blood sample.

Precautions
READ THE RESULT AFTER EXACTLY 5 MINUTES. The intensity of the line colour does not have any importance for the interpretation of the test result.

•Deposit 2 drops into the well indicated on the cassette, wait for 5 seconds between the first and second drop.
•The ALLERGY IgE Test is recommended in the presence of symptoms typical of allergic reactions, such as itching and/or reddened skin, watery eyes and sneezing repeatedly. The Test can be carried out at any time of the day. If you are taking medication, please talk to your physician to check that the drugs you are taking do not alter the levels of circulating IgE.

Storage
Store in a dry place at a temperature between 4°C and 30°C. Do not freeze.
