The number of influenza cases is likely to increase each year during its peak season. With the relaxation of social distancing measures and entry quarantine policies in various countries, the risk of influenza transmission may also increase as people and tourists no longer mandatory to wear masks in Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, local seasonal influenza activity has been low for the past three years due to past pandemic measures. The general population may be less immune to influenza than before. Given that severe cases do occur in previously healthy persons, all members of the public aged 6 months or above, except those with known contraindications, should receive seasonal influenza vaccination for personal protection. Members of the public can consult their family doctors to receive seasonal influenza vaccination for personal protection.

The circulating seasonal influenza strains may change from time to time, the seasonal influenza vaccine composition is updated every year by the circulating strains to enhance protection. According to the World Health Organization, when the vaccine strains closely match the circulating influenza viruses, the efficacy of inactivated influenza vaccine (IIV) in individuals younger than 65 years of age typically range from 70% to 90%. Therefore, it is necessary to get vaccinated against influenza every year.

Inactivated Influenza Vaccine (abbreviated: IIV) injection contain the following strains:

A/Victoria/4897/2022 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus
A/Darwin/9/2021 (H3N2)-like virus
B/Austria/1359417/2021 (B/Victoria lineage)-like virus
B/Phuket/3073/2013 (B/Yamagata lineage)-like virus

Product Details:

Intramuscular injection of inactivated influenza vaccine
Individuals 9 years old or above: Single dose
Individuals 6 months - 8 years old: 1 or 2 doses are required and recommended to have at least 4 weeks apart between the vaccinations.

Guidelines for Children Having Influenza Vaccine

An International Guideline has been given that children aged under 9 years and who have NOT received any influenza vaccination previously, are recommended to have at least 4 weeks apart between the vaccinations. Children who reach the age of 9 years require 1 shot of influenza vaccine only.

Remarks:

If you have any of the following conditions, you are recommended to seek advice before receiving vaccination.

Suffer from any acute, chronic or severe illness or any illness (with or without fever) e.g. upper respiratory tract infection, common cold
Allergic to any vaccine components, including egg white, chicken protein, gentamicin sulphate, neomycin, formaldehyde (preservative), haemagglutinin, etc.
Allergy or serious reaction to drug or vaccine in the past
Blood disorder e.g. thrombocytopenia, coagulation disorder
Immunocompromised

Terms and Conditions:

1.Customers are required to make a booking for flu vaccination services through the Quality HealthCare mobile app.
2.Customers must present their identity card, order confirmation letter (printed or e-version) and completed consent form to the designated clinic for verification before vaccination.
3.Customers are required to take the vaccination during the vaccination period (1 September 2023 – 29 February 2024).
4.The product is not applicable to Vaccination Subsidy Scheme.
5.The product is applicable to individuals aged 6 months or above (age as at the date of vaccination).
6.Individuals aged below 18 (age as at the date of vaccination) MUST be accompanied by their parent(s)/guardian(s), who will sign on the consent form on behalf of the enrolees in the clinic.
7.No amendment to the vaccination service ordered is allowed once payment is confirmed. Any fees paid will not be transferable and will not be refundable.
8.In case of disputes, the decision of ESD Service Limited & Quality HealthCare Medical Services Limited shall be final.

Quality HealthCare – Health check up packages terms and conditions

Quality HealthCare will contact the customer within 3 working days after successful payment. Customers can also call hotline at 8100 8138 / Whatsapp 8301 8301 for booking.
Customers must present their identity cards and order confirmation letter or email on the appointment day.
Physical check up plan is applicable to people aged 18 or above only.
Physical check up plan is not applicable on Sunday and Public Holidays.
Eye examination is not applicable on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
The plan will be valid for 6 months starting from the date of payment.
Check Up Report: After the health check up, it usually takes about 7-14 working days to process the inspection report. Working days do not include Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. This time frames are for guidelines only & do not reflect the actual time might be needed (e.g. the timeframe might change depend on the individual test has taken or specific timeslot requested by the customer).
Amendment or cancellation is not allowed once the payment is confirmed, and is not transferable and refundable.
In case of disputes, the decision of health.ESDlife shall be final.
All tests are not for the purpose of medical diagnosis or treatment.

Quality HealthCare – Vaccination (Flu Vaccine excluded)

Quality HealthCare will contact the customer within 3 working days after successful payment. Customers can also call hotline at 8100 8138 / Whatsapp 8301 8301 for booking.
Customers must present their identity cards and order confirmation letter or email on the appointment day.
The plan will be valid for 6 months starting from the date of payment.
Amendment or cancellation is not allowed once the payment is confirmed, and is not transferable and refundable.
Hepatitis antigen and antibody report issued in last 3 months must be presented prior to Hepatitis vaccination. Extra fee for blood test will be applied if you cannot present a valid report.
Doctor's consultation is included prior to the 1st dose of vaccine. Doctor’s consultation fee of HK$300 applies if patient is not suitable for the vaccine injection after Doctor's consultation.
In case of disputes, the decision of health.ESDlife shall be final.
All tests are not for the purpose of medical diagnosis or treatment.
The provision of any vaccines shall be subject to availability, which may not be guaranteed after the purchase or appointment made.
Vaccination is not applicable to Jordan (Diagnostic & Imaging Centre).

Quality HealthCare – Eye Check

Quality HealthCare will contact the customer within 3 working days after successful payment. Customers can also call physical check-up hotline at 8100 8138 for booking.
The physical check-up plan is available at designated Quality HealthCare Physical Check-up Centres.
Customers must present their identity cards and order confirmation letter (printed or e-version) on the appointment day.
This product is applicable to people aged 3 or above only.
Physical check-up plan is not applicable on Sundays and Public Holidays.
The redemption will be valid for 6 months starting from the date of payment.
All tests are not for the purpose of medical diagnosis or treatment.
In case of disputes, the decision of health.ESDlife shall be final.

Quality HealthCare – Traditional Chinese Medicine

After successful payment, customers can call designed Quality HealthCare Chinese Medicine Centre for appointment during working hours
Chinese medicine treatment is applicable at designed Quality HealthCare Chinese Medicine Centre.
All treatments are valid for 3 months after purchase.
Prior appointment is required and services are non-transferrable.
Whole package must be completed in the designated centres and by designated TCM practitioner.
If a person aged 18 or younger wishes to receive treatment, the parent or guardian must sign a consent form prior to the treatment.
This treatment does not include Chinese herbal medicine for consumption or additional Chinese herbal medicine, which shall be charged separately.
This treatment can be used at designated Quality Healthcare Chinese Medicine Centres and prior appointment of at least 2 days in advance by customer after purchase is required: Kwun Tong Millennium City 5 and Tseung Kwan O Pop Walk 2.
The redemption will be valid for 6 months starting from the date of payment.
In case of disputes, the decision of health.ESDlife shall be final.
