Health Checkup Instructions
 
To ensure the health check results accurately reflect client's true condition, please follow the instructions below:
I. Pre-Examination Instructions
1. Maintain a normal diet for 3 days prior to the checkup. Avoid greasy and high-protein foods, refrain from alcohol, go to bed early, and avoid fatigue. For gynecological exams, avoid sexual activity.
2. Fast for at least 8 hours before the examination to avoid affecting blood glucose, lipid, and liver function results.
3. The center opens at 7:40 AM. Please have your blood drawn on time. The latest recommended time is before 10:30 AM.
4. Patients with hypertension or coronary heart disease should take their usual morning medication. A small amount of water will not affect test results.
5. Patients with diabetes should bring their regular medication and take it after fasting blood collection as instructed.
6. For stool routine or occult blood tests: Avoid high-fat foods, leafy green vegetables (e.g., spinach, bok choy), and seaweed for 3 days before the checkup. Avoid alcohol. In the morning of the day of the exam, collect a sample about the size of a soybean.
7. For urine tests, please collect a midstream urine sample on the day of the checkup.
8. Women should avoid checkups during menstruation. It is recommended to schedule the exam at least 3 days after the period ends.
9. Wear loose clothing on the day of the exam. Women are advised not to wear dresses or tights. Please take care of your valuables.
Important Reminder: Ultrasound appointments are assigned automatically based on check-in order. Registration starts at 7:40 AM.
 
II. During the Examination
1. Only eat or drink after completing all fasting-required tests (e.g., blood tests, fasting ultrasound).
2. For pelvic ultrasound, women need a full bladder for accurate results.
3. If you experience dizziness or fainting during blood draws, please inform staff in advance. Apply pressure to the site for 3–5 minutes afterward; do not rub.
4. If you wish to add extra test items, inform staff before blood collection to avoid additional needle sticks.
5. Women should empty their bladder before gynecological examinations.
6. Avoid gynecological exams and urine tests during menstruation to prevent inaccurate results.
7. If you are pregnant or planning pregnancy within 6 months, do not undergo radiological exams. You may postpone or opt out.
 
III. Post-Examination Instructions
1. After completing the health check, clients must return the examination form to the front desk.
2. If a client chooses to forgo any examination item, they must inform the staff collecting the form and sign for confirmation.
3. If there are still unfinished examination items, the client should confirm a follow-up appointment time and inform the front desk.
4. The health check report can be issued within 10 working days after the examination is completed.
5. Once the report is ready, a notification SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number. Clients can check the report via the WeChat public account “Niannian Health.” Please make sure the phone number provided is correct.

I. Notes for Health Check Appointment
  • After receiving the successful order confirmation email from health.ESDlife, the Zhuhai Nian Nian Health will contact the customer within 1–2 working days (during office hours) to arrange the date and location of the health check. Customers may also contact the medical center directly at least 1 working day in advance to make an appointment (Tel: +86 15992606496; WeChat: 15992606496).
  • Upon arrival, customers are required to present their name, date of birth, mobile number, and the order confirmation email from health.ESDlife for verification.
  • If rescheduling is required, please contact Zhuhai Nian Nian Health at least 1 working day in advance (Tel: +86 15992606496; WeChat: 15992606496).
  • The health check package is valid for 3 months from the payment confirmation date. Customers must complete the check-up within this period; otherwise, the package will expire.
  • If the attending doctor does not speak Cantonese, the medical center can arrange for staff to provide translation support.
  • In case of any discrepancies or inconsistencies among the Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English versions on the merchant page and health check plan page, the Traditional Chinese version shall prevail.

 

II. Collection and Interpretation of Report
  • The health check report will be issued in Simplified Chinese.
  • The report will be completed within 10 working days after the examination. Customers may access their report through the following methods:
    1. Follow the official WeChat account: Niannian Zhuhai Health Management to view the electronic report.
    2. Provide an email address; the medical center will send the report via email upon completion.
    3. Provide a mailing address; the report will be sent by post after completion (postage to be paid upon delivery; delivery to Hong Kong and Macau is available).
  • Once the report is ready, customers may schedule a consultation with a doctor to review the results:
    1. Phone consultation: Appointment must be made at least 1 working day in advance (Tel: +86 15992606496; WeChat: 15992606496). The doctor will contact the customer at the scheduled time.
    2. In-person consultation: Appointment must be made at least 1 working day in advance. Customers should visit the medical center at the scheduled time for a face-to-face explanation.
