Explanation of the Report by the Doctor (Telephone/In-Person)
This package covers male cancer risk assessment, lung cancer methylation, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular health, gastroscopy and colonoscopy, chest CT, head vascular MRI, thyroid function, liver and kidney function, and prostate examination for men. It is suitable for men who wish to undergo in-depth health assessment.
Preparation before physical examination
- Blood tests, fasting blood glucose, blood lipids, liver and kidney function tests, upper abdominal ultrasound, carbon-13 breath test, chest CT scan, head vascular MRI, and gastroscopy/colonoscopy must be performed on an empty stomach as instructed by the hospital.
- Before a gastroscopy or colonoscopy, patients must take a complete digestive tract cleansing agent and complete bowel preparation as instructed by the hospital. The dosage or timing of medication should not be changed on one's own.
- An adult relative or friend must accompany the patient on the day of the examination; driving, operating machinery, or working at heights is not advisable within 24 hours after receiving sedation or anesthesia.
- Those with pacemakers, cochlear implants, metal implants, or other internal devices must inform their doctor in advance to confirm their suitability for an MRI scan.
- Patients with hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes, or other chronic illnesses should not stop taking their medication on their own; please consult with healthcare professionals beforehand.
On the day of the inspection
- Before undergoing an ultrasound of the urinary system and prostate, the bladder must be kept full as instructed by medical staff.
- When collecting urine samples, a midstream sample should be collected, and the volume must reach the specified mark on the sample container.
- Metal jewelry, dentures, and electronic devices must be removed before undergoing a chest CT scan and MRI.
- Please truthfully inform medical staff about your past medical history, surgical records, long-term medications, and current health status.
- After completing the fasting test, a nutritious breakfast will be provided with the package.
Reporting Arrangements
After all examinations are completed, the hospital will provide a health assessment and report interpretation. Tumor markers and lung cancer gene methylation blood tests are only for risk assessment and must be interpreted by a doctor in conjunction with other test results.
